In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, our Toast the Trees program combats the decline of America’s White Oak trees by replenishing those used in bourbon barrels and planting endemic trees in urban communities. GROWING TALLER TOGETHER

Since our partnership began over a decade ago, we’ve continued to proudly support the Arbor Day Foundation—the world’s largest membership-based nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees. Beginning in 1972, the Foundation has planted over 500 million trees in more than 50 countries. Together, we’re ensuring the bourbon industry has barrels for years to come and helping to protect the environmental well-being of local communities by cultivating urban canopies.

Since 2014, we’ve replenished over 311,000 White Oaks trees and counting while developing urban canopies with endemic trees nationwide to positively impact local communities. In our home state of Kentucky, our work with the Arbor Day Foundation allowed us to plant over 40,000 trees across 62 acres, creating a lasting impact on this vital habitat.

    17.5M gallons avoided water runoff

    The trees we plant do more than just grow; they prevent soil erosion, filter water, improve rainfall absorption, and reduce runoff.

    • Enough water for 213,710 people for 
one day.
    • Avoided water runoff above is equivalent to 337,003 barrels.

  • Carbon

    135K metric tons of CO2 sequestered

    Planting trees helps absorb carbon. As trees grow, they pull carbon from the air into their trunks, roots, and branches.

    • 29,522 fewer cars on the road for one year.

  • Air

    428 Tons of pollutants removed

    Trees give us the oxygen we breathe and clean the air by cooling it and filtering out pollutants.

    • Enough oxygen for 1,244,940 people for one day.
