Nobody really knows who made the first Manhattan, but thanks to the name, we’ve got a good guess on where it came from. A cocktail cornerstone, this bourbon-forward beverage has been iterated upon for years. But as a toast to its original inception, we recommend the Manhattan recipe below.

ingredients

oz ANGEL'S ENVY Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels - 1
oz Noilly Prat® Sweet Vermouth - 2-3
dashes Angostura® bitters to taste
directions
- Add all ingredients into a mixing glass and fill with ice.
- Stir for 20-25 seconds to dilute.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a cherry.
- Try an orange or lemon peel to garnish instead of a cherry.
